Sizzle Apples

Serves 4 as a dessert or use with crispy roast pork. Takes about 4 minutes!

3 favourite dessert apples
2 – 3 tbsp Butter
1 tbsp castor sugar

  1. Quarter and core apples (no need to peel) and cut into fairly thick slices.
  2. Heat butter with 1 tbsp castor sugar over a medium/hot heat being careful not to burn.
  3. Place apple slices in pan and fry till lightly golden on both sides – do not overcook or they will start to collapse.
  4. Splash over Lemon Splashing Syrup.
  5. Shake pan and remove from heat.
  6. Carefully remove apple slices onto a plate and pour over juices. Serve hot or cold.
  7. Use the same methods for peaches or apricots, but take out stone and leave fruit in halves. Fry cut side down to start.
