Sizzle Apples
(takes about 4 minutes!) Serves 4 as a dessert or use with crispy roast pork.- 3 favourite dessert apples.
- 2 - 3 tbsp Butter.
- 1 tbsp castor sugar.
- Quarter and core apples (no need to peel) and cut into fairly thick slices.
- Heat butter with 1 tbsp castor sugar over a medium/hot heat being careful not to burn.
- Place apple slices in pan and fry till lightly golden on both sides – do not overcook or they will start to collapse.
- Splash over Lemon Splash.
- Shake pan and remove from heat.
- Carefully remove apple slices onto a plate and pour over juices. Serve hot or cold.
- Use the same methods for peaches or apricots, but take out stone and leave fruit in halves. Fry cut side down to start.
